SEWING SCHOOL FOR CHILDREN

Running for 3 years, the Sewing School is designed to engage all children through a journey of creativity and sewing skills for life. 

Our Sewing School classes are run by professional teachers to provide term time & school holiday activities within a safe, supportive and fun environment. 

Sewing classes for JUNIORS (6y - 11y) and TEENS (11y+)

During each 6 week term a level will be completed, following the relevant stitches, skills and projects for that Level. Students are invited to re-enrol every 6 weeks so that they may return to complete each subsequent level. 

Juniors will learn lots of sewing skills, first by hand then on our real  sewing machines and will make loads of fun projects, from cushions and bags to rag dolls, aprons and many more!

Teens courses cover fashion skills and customising garments & clothing, design, funky accessories, bags, make-up cases, cushions!

The Saturday Sewing School is aimed to Beginners+ and intermediates, children who already know how use the sewing machine, trace & cut simple patterns and would like to improve their skills by making more complex projects.

These classes are perfect for those children who would like to make their own projects, to practice specific skills or to use the hours towards a certification in textiles or art. Please contact us for availability and to discuss the teaching programme.

Our super fun sewing workshops run during half terms and most holidays and are aimed for children aged 6 years to 14 years. They will learn new sewing skills whether it is by hand or at the sewing machine so they can make a new project every day! From accessories, room decorations to clothes, they will not only make their own creations but also have an enjoyable time with us. 

Our experienced teachers will make sure your child gains confidence in every project and at his/her own pace. 

We usually provide the following options: 

MORNING ONLY: From 9.30 to 12.30 (£35 per workshop)

Includes one main project per day. Days may be booked independently 

Aimed at children ages 6y to 14y

FULL DAY: From 9.00 to 15.30 (£60 per day) - Available only on specific dates

The full day includes additional times for: 

9.00 to 9.30 - Breakfast (Fruit Juice, biscuits & milk/hot chocolate included)

12.30 to 13.30 - Lunch (Fruit Juice included, please bring a packed lunch). 

13.30 to 15.30 - Textile painting, making embellishments and craft activities related to textiles.
